You Can Edit Krunchd URLs!

December 12th, 2008 by Jeff Kee

You already made a Krunchd URL with an amazing hash code that practically has your name on it (sometimes literally). And now you need more URLs listed, or you need to remove some – you can do that now. If you already have Krunchd URLs with us, you would have received an email with the URLs already.

Here’s how it works:

There’s two types of URLs for each Krunchd URL generated. One is the generic one which will look like this:

krunchd.com/yourname

However, there’s an additional URL that is now generated just for you (and your friends) which will look more like this:

krunchd.com/mod/yourname/dfy8saffdhsu78fhrerhgaefdsah7

This is a special URL containing security information that allows the holder of the URL to add or remove URLs from existing Krunchd URLs. To make sharing and collaboration easier, we did not put any password protection schemes on, so just be careful who you share this URL with.

This now allows Krunchd URLs to be used for collaboration. If you and your friends want to find relevant websites for that next big paper you need to write, make a Krunchd URL and start adding sites together. Multiple people can work on it at once. Find relevant websites with your sales team to make a list of sites. It’s a great way to share, brainstorm, gather, and help everybody out.
