Due to popular demand, we now have opened our blogĀ for public comments!
Krunchd.com has been covered by the Georgia Straight magazine. If you don’t know what Georgia Straight is… well, it’s the largest independent local newspaper magazine in Vancouver, and is immensely popular. There’s of course the mainstream newspapers such as the Vancouver Sun and the Province, but Georgia Straight is the real stuff for really cool local news and political views.

That’s the link to the article. Stephen Hui is the journalist who covered this one.
To make our system easier and faster to use, Krunchd URLs with only 1 destination URL will go straight to the destination rather than visiting our list page. This will make it easier for you to share a single URL fast.
Now we can truly call this service “TinyURL on Steroids”.
You already made a Krunchd URL with an amazing hash code that practically has your name on it (sometimes literally). And now you need more URLs listed, or you need to remove some - you can do that now. If you already have Krunchd URLs with us, you would have received an email with the URLs already.
Here’s how it works:
There’s two types of URLs for each Krunchd URL generated. One is the generic one which will look like this:
krunchd.com/yourname
However, there’s an additional URL that is now generated just for you (and your friends) which will look more like this:
krunchd.com/mod/yourname/dfy8saffdhsu78fhrerhgaefdsah7
This is a special URL containing security information that allows the holder of the URL to add or remove URLs from existing Krunchd URLs. To make sharing and collaboration easier, we did not put any password protection schemes on, so just be careful who you share this URL with.
This now allows Krunchd URLs to be used for collaboration. If you and your friends want to find relevant websites for that next big paper you need to write, make a Krunchd URL and start adding sites together. Multiple people can work on it at once. Find relevant websites with your sales team to make a list of sites. It’s a great way to share, brainstorm, gather, and help everybody out.
